A few other MMOGblogs have pointed to a thread in the F13 forums in the last day or so, and for good reason - it's fascinating. Some of the core users asked a simple question: What are your Top Ten MMOs? The following discussion gives a lot of insight into the thinking of some of the most dedicated players out there, and the running tally at the top of the thread should make the developers on that list of ten mighty proud. Some of the great comments that follow highlight other amazing titles that don't get nearly enough recognition, like Puzzle Pirates, A Tale in the Desert, and the still active community of Asheron's Call. It's a great conversation, and I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to take part - just make sure to read the directions first.

WoW is no surprise of course.
LotRO is a big one (PLANETSIDE beat it???)
Pretty amazed that UO/EQ are so high up.
Was this current top 10 or all time? Going to have to go take a look...

Planetside is #9, that rocks! Planetside was awesome... until it got boring. But for months and months after beta I had huge amounts of fun there every night.
But of course it didn't have enough depth to keep me interested forever, and the first expansion was a major failure. But I'll always have fond memories. I'm really happy to see it on the list.

World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online are neck and neck for me. Played WoW for almost 2 years and am playing LotRO like crazy now. Both awesome games.
I'll go with top 5 (with #1 being tie)
