Linden Lab wants to buy new default avatars from you

One wonders how inclusive LL is willing to be, given exactly how diverse content tends to be in SL. Will new users be able to choose Gorean avatars? Robots? Children?

"Children?"
Heh... that's actually one of my predictions for 2008. See http://adz.secondlifekid.com/2008/01/01/2008-predictions/.
If it happens, it would be the second one to come true so far. I cannot resist the temptation to keep track mid-year.

the odds are they won't encourage child avs, as for the rest, there isn't much more that will be restricted with the exception of the stuff that is more on the "broadly offsensive" side

Um... this is going to be false statement. LL already planned on new avatar model to replace today's avatar model for new animation support and skinning.
It could be misleading, maybe they meant new defaults for their up-coming avatar replacement.
