Happy Birthday to EverQuest!
Filed under: Fantasy, EverQuest, Culture, MMO industry

If you missed it at the end of last week, we had a lengthy interview with lead designer Travis McGeathy about the anniversary event. We also chatted about the game's recent history, back to the Serpent's Spine days, and snag a few tantalizing hints about the future of SOE's oldest game.
For an extra treat, check below the cut for an anniversary video that does a great job of making EQ look ... pretty cool, actually.

Wow. I can't believe it's been 9 years since the first EQ, amazing, considering that was such a cool game at the time. Looking back it does look "old skool" as the graphics just didn't stand the test of time and the game play doesn't have the same appeal.
Still, it was quite the game.

I was disappointed that the collectors item was not useful to casters.I guess everyone should get something but why not make it for everyone.
