Part of what I find good about a podcast is learning the biases and personalities of the voices.
See: Joystiq Podcast, GFW Radio, 1up Yours, Webcomics Weekly, etc...
This podcast sounds so hacked together, even prerecorded at times, and jumps back and forth between topics quickly. I don't really get the feeling that I know who anyone is behind the mike.
More banter, more free conversation, more laughter even. If you're gonna do a podcast, why not make it entertaining and opinionated. If I just wanted the news, I'd stick to the articles.

Cool podcast! I love hearing the voice behind favorite writers and bloggers. This will be great as the weeks go on.
Akela's writing is always so much fun to read--I agree, look forward to hearing him again!
