Funcom announces names for early access servers

The official Age of Conan site has a bit of information we're sure you're going to want to read: server names for early access players! Despite the issues they've had with interest outstripping server capacity, it's great to see the company responding to a pressing community concern. At the moment there are a total of 31 servers slated for early access, spread across three server types, four languages, and five regions. There are sure to be more servers launched for the game's proper release, but at the moment these are what you've got to choose from.

No, but from what people are saying on the forums, it looks like Wiccana will be the "unofficial" RP-PVE server.

Dan, please don't ask that question, it has been the source of way too many heated battles.

The answer is no, and it is because funcom, the hard data, and other sources confirm that the rp-pve crowd is a very loud, but very small community. There are not enough to justify server and server staffing costs. Even in World of Warcraft rough numbers show the ENTIRETY of the rp crowd across rppvp and rppve are less than 5%. When crossed over to this genre and compared to likely player numbers it is very few.

It may be a FAQ for you Bob, but it's new to me...

I'm not a real RPer, but RP servers tend to be a nice way to avoid the Chuck Norris jokes and "pwn3d yr a55 n00b!!1" comments, which is my real desire.

The question for me now is whether to roll on the RP-PvP Cimmeria, even though I have no tolerance for PvP griefing, or go to the "unofficial" RP-PvE Wiccana.

Anyone know what time zone the release is set too? Don't mean to sound like a uber nerd (which I admittedly am) but me and some friends are going to start playing the minute it opens, we just dont know what minute that will be hehe
