Peter Molyneux considers his MMO options

In the midst of talk of dogs, one-button combat, and trying to avoid hype, interviewer Christian Donlan notes that the game has a number of MMO-like mechanics. There's an extensive co-op mode, for example, which allows you to custom-build a companion character for the 'main player'. Molyenux reponds by pointing to the PR person with them and saying "Well, there's someone in this room to make sure that I don't say too much about that question. I have been looking at MMOs. I love the interaction, and I'm fascinated by the idea of really feeling secure and cool enough to actually do it." When asked point blank if he was considering making a massively multiplayer game, the designer simply responded, "Yes". We'll keep you posted if that one word answer ever expands into something more.

I'd like to get more MMO choices into the market, it's always a good thing.
Of course not all of them are going to be WoW-Behemoths with 10 million players, but an MMO can live well on 75k-100k subscribers easy.

Good! I'd like the mold of MMOs to be broken. The more people the genre has that AREN'T entirely consumed w/ "PvP" or "End Game", the better this industry will be. It's just banking on the subs that makes the launches tough. As long as they release a quality product, I'm all for more -inventive- and -ground breaking- MMOGs. Just no more catering to the "It only has 100k subs? It's a failurelolepiclol" type players please.
