Second Life daily news

- SLRfL08 video tour: Take a trip around this year's Relay for Life with MarkTwain White.
- 14,265 new signups bringing the total to 14,460,247 signups.
- A peak concurrency of 61,758 at 2:10PM, and a minimum concurrency of 38,138 at 2:35AM. Median concurrency for the day was 48,650.
The Grid Stability Index for the day was 1.11 (lower is better). The rolling restart caused a fair movement of bodies, but there were signs of trouble through the evening, and no clear cause, though there are reports of ghost prims in a number of busy mainland simulators, and unconfirmed reports of performance degradation to object movement.
Below is the day's concurrency graphed for yesterday (left), and the corresponding day from the previous week (right)

Is it just me or do other people also think the quality and quantity of posts on Massively for SL has been falling through the floor?
Massively has joined my "safe to ignore" lists, too many ads for junk games with 0 SL content.
Maybe you guys should leave and return to SL-Insider.

my condolences to Tateru, Moo, Akela(?you still out there?) and the others. hope things work out better for you somewhere, someday. Tateru, you always seemed to have the best news a couple days before the others, hope to see you more active at Dwell On It again.
so then, where to now for SL news? NWN, NPIRL and SLNN are already on my reader, but please don't make me go back to SLH...
Jay, it surely would be nice to see SL Insider resurrected, but don't forget it too was AOL-owned and that's why it got folded into Massively in the first place during the last round of blogger budget cuts.

and this is the day SLI died....
(well, not that it wasnt dying a slow and painful death anyway....)
so sad.... this (sli, certainly not massively) used to be my favorite news source. i hope that the (extremely talented!) writers jump off the failboat and hop aboard another blog that actually cares about SL.

Judging from the other comments here, I must not have gotten the memo. Is SL coverage history at Massively?

There don't seem to be any posts more recent than from the 23rd...?
Hopefully this is just a hiatus and not a complete stoppage of content?? :(

Per this article, http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/07/24/aol-makes-big-budget-cuts-across-blogs/ , I doubt we will see much SL content here for a few weeks if ever again.
