An eye-opening Aion preview
Filed under: Aion, New titles, Previews, News items
The gist of Aion is that it's a game being developed with the best of breed concepts from Eastern and Western MMO developers. User-friendly, PvE and PvP content coming out its nose, highly customizable characters, gorgeous graphics and uh, wings. To be fair, the wings thing is a lot cooler than it sounds when you just say 'wings' like us. You get the idea, however. Currently, Aion is looking at an early 2009 release date.

I'm a fan. As long as the interface isn't crummy and it's not full of farmers and 'spoiters, I can't see what about this game I'll dislike.

I'm looking forward to this myself, but I can't say I'm optimistic about it since it was originally known as Lineage Forever.

That is not true, in an interview Star specifically said that Aion was not "Lineage forever" and that Aion was its own franchise.

I hear good things about it, but the style feels a bit.. generic. Beautiful mind, but let's start with a little less purple.

This is NCsoft we're talking about. The game will have bot trains set up before the servers go live.

It's probably going to be a GREAT game ran by a TERRIBLE company. I hope they prove me wrong though, I'm more likely going to play this game than WAR.
