EverQuest: Seeds of Destruction teaser trailer released

In conjunction with the deluge of EverQuest II news we've given you from Fan Faire today, there was also the announcement of an expansion to the original EverQuest as well. EverQuest: Seeds of Destruction features twenty new zones, a new Mercenaries system, a level cap raised to 85 and much more.

Wow rarely have I seen such bad and dated graphics, do you have to pay per month to play this crap ? Even if they gave it away for free I would pass.

The reason you've rarely seen graphics this bad is because games are rarely still turning out expansions 10 years after release.

That's why the expansion isn't really aimed at you. They tried the graphics update, back at expansion 3 in 2001. It worked, but it drove off players who couldn't run it at the time on computers that had worked just months before.
Everquest just isn't about the shiny graphics. For that, I'm glad. It means more time to focus on grouping, roleplaying, chilling out with friends, and even hard core raiding.

yes.. it would look dated... being 10 years old and all.
And for a good 5 years.. the only one worth subscribing to... and yes, if you were old enough, you would have payed your monthly sub.

Having never seen screens or video of everquest before, I feel like the graphics are not as bad as I expected
they seem kind of dated and low-res, but far from ugly, which (considering the age of the game) I think is a credit to pretty good design, art wise
