Death Knight character creation FAQ preps players for Wrath
Filed under: World of Warcraft, Fantasy, Classes, Expansions
Planning on creating a Death Knight when Wrath of the Lich King comes out next month? Blizzard posted a Death Knight creation FAQ at the EU World of Warcraft forums in an effort to reduce the number of question and answer threads popping up. It's short but sweet. It's so short, in fact, that we can give you most of the info right here. You'll be able to create a Death Knight on any realm on which you already have an level 55 or higher character. Eventually, you'll be able to create one on a different server, but for now the only way to get a Death Knight to a totally new realm is to create it on your current realm and then do a paid transfer.
Don't worry -- there's good news too! If your level 55 is Horde, you'll be able to start up an Alliance Death Knight and vice versa, so long as you're not playing on a PvP realm. You're only allowed one Death Knight per realm though.

I wont be playing a deathknight.............*slap*, oh wait, i dont play WOW, darn it all, unfortunately my brother does.
The thing that really gets me in this "Hero" class is......well, what were they thinking? Blizzard releases the "first" hero class...........ok, and then a year later they will release the next hero class? This is the single biggest joke to those folks still playing WOW, a very large number of deathknights will be coming to a server near you, that and .................little deathknights........
your local bg's will be inundated with them, raids with be packed with them (so they can get their leet, itemized, epix) and the rest of the the WOW faithful, which is a huge majority, will be left in the cold fighting geared deathknights in bg's with no hope of competing. yes dear reader, i have sat back and watched behind the shoulders of yelling and laughing youth playing these monstrosities, it wont be fun for a huge number of folks.
and those that do not make a DK? you will be the hapless few still playing "regular" toons trying in vain to keep up but will be crushed outright, go back to your pve.
Releasing ONE hero class character, Hats off to blizzard for a great entertaining joke, worth a laugh, i cant wait to see the next one.
now i must go console my brother, he is taking this a bit more seriously, *grin*

If you don't play wow, why do you lose your time writing about it?

Umm, They're not overpowered you know. It's not like they'd bring out a new class that's better than all the others lol! They've simply brought out a new class. Yes there will be a lot of them, but they start at 55 so people who are still lowbies probably wont even see them unless they go in a city. But i can assure you, there will be LOADS in Hellfire Peninsula after wrath is released. It's like that now in beta lol

At level thirty I was one of the lost level characters in my guild. Everyone assumed I was an alt. The vast majority of the server is high leveled so this will be just another way the rare casual player will feel left out.

Sure, there will be a ton of DKs running around right after WotLK is released. It'll settle down. Remember all the crying and yelling about how we'd be inundated with blood elf pallies and draenei shamans when TBC came out? That was true for a few weeks, yes, then things evened out. Not everyone is going to enjoy playing a DK.
