SWTOR has dialogue trees, irreversible choices, love interests

In the midst of all the frenzy over the announcement of Star Wars: The Old Republic, we learned that players will have NPC companions like they do in single-player BioWare games. But there's more: BioWare has said that players will be able to engage in dialogue trees with their companions, and the decisions made in those trees will have irreversible implications.Anger your companion, and he or she might leave your party forever, or become your enemy. BioWare also hinted that romances with NPCs will be possible -- again, as in the single-player games. This all fits nicely into SWTOR's commitment to storytelling as an addition to traditional MMO gameplay. Things just gets better and better, don't they?
Some questions are raised by this: how will players socialize with one anotherwhen they're constantly tied up in dialogue trees? Will it use the old BioWare dialogue method found in the KotOR games, or will it use the new, cropped Mass Effect one? Stay tuned, ya'll!

BioWare is one of the best RPGs maker of the PC but they are mostly single player and the sad part is that most off there games feel like the worlds are really big but your moment is just limit to a tiny arena.
I want to see how they will do with a MMO and I am sure the story will be great but not sure about pvp and other multi player stuff.

I shall have to raise my had as one of those - thankfully not too rare - sadsacks who LIKE strong solo play in my MMOs.
As Wjowski pointed out, it is a long way from release... but if TOR can pull off all the traditional solo play features they are touting, I will be very excited.
Guild Wars is my favorite MMO ever for it being 'a solo game you play socially', and it looks like GW2 is facing some stiff competition now.

Strong solo elements are pretty much required for an MMO to be successful. Dungeons and Dragons Online should've been the biggest thing ever but (at least in part) because Turbine thumbed it's nose at soloers DDO's been relegated to a niche game.
