The Daily Grind: Did you take the day off for Moria or Shadow Odyssey?
Filed under: Fantasy, EverQuest II, Lord of the Rings Online, Expansions, Opinion, The Daily Grind
Today is the day! Not just one, but two awesome expansions, chock-full of great new content are coming out today. The Lord of the Rings Online has its first separate expansion, The Mines of Moria. EverQuest II has its fifth expansion The Shadow Odyssey, but one that just furnishes tons of new content and goodness without boosting levels like expansions normally do. Of course, with two great new expansions launching today, we thought we'd ask -- are you taking today off to enjoy all the new content? Or are you going to go ahead and head in, knowing full well you'll be spending all day with your head in the clouds thinking of all the cool stuff you'll be doing this evening? Let us know!
(For those of you who decided to be good and go in today, we're adding in some gallery goodness to help pass the time and whet your appetite!)

Oh how I wanted to. However, I knew a few of my colleagues were genuinely sick the past few days and at least one of them wouldn't come in. Turns out that both of them stayed home.
I did however take a vacation day for tomorrow (figured there could be server problems today, so why waste a day fuming at my bad luck?), so my new warden will have to wait for tonight and tomorrow to see the light of day :)

How I wanted too and almost did, and I don't even have a level 50 that can enter it yet!
I did jump on early and make my Warden with the name I saved though. More excuses to not even hit 50 yet with all the fun classes to play.

I'd love to see some statistics about how many more "sick days" have been called in the last couple weeks with WotLK launching last week and then EQII and Moria launching today.
Would be interesting to see the lost productivity :P

This just in: Economic recession found to be caused by players of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing games. Blizzard, Sony, and Turbine brought in for questioning.

I wish. I'm out of days off this year. I'll just sacrifice sleep to play after work!

I didn't take the day off. I didn't know if it would go smoothly or if there'd be outages lasting well beyond projected times or what.
And then when I did log in I only had about an hour and there were enough class changes to look at and absorb, and I wanted to look over the new AA's, plus I had to update my map add-on and UI, and then the chat channels were changed so I had to monkey with them to get them back how I wanted them, so I haven't done much yet. Haven't even logged in all my alts yet, even.
