Clan of Conan previews Update 4 and Xibaluku

Players won't just be free to walk into Xibaluku. They'll first need to complete a new solo dungeon called The Slaughterhouse Cellar, also located in Thunder River and to be released in Update 4. Those that venture deep enough into Xibaluku might find one of two new Undead social pets that are being introduced to the game, which are good for "spreading gloom and dreadfulness", and probably scaring newbies in town.
Expect the PvP system to receive some tweaking in Update 4 too, with the "PvP resources" system set to debut. If you're holding PvP resources to bring to an architect and get player-killed, you have a chance of them being looted by your assassin. Architects will need the resources to build and repair battlekeeps, and the hope is that epic battles will take place over the humble gathering nodes.

I'm starting to disagree with what most people claim towards AoC. That the graphics are so "real".
To me its starting to look more and more like pure fantasy fiction. Just with a different style.
If it regains some momentum in terms of playerbase on the servers, I think I might resub for it in a few months.

I just re-upped my sub. I'm actually enjoying it. It's improved a great deal and it seems like they're getting some population back.
Check servers ahead of time. There are a couple that are quite healthy.

Failcom fails so badly if it tried to fail it would fail at failing! What kind of failures give a in game necklace to their subcribers! FAIL! Especially one with stamina! Everything failcom touches turns into a huge steaming pile of FAIL! Failcom should just turn off the servers recall every CD and MELT the epic failure that is age of Conan.

Man the soundtrack for that gave is unrivalled. The rest is up for debate but I've yet to encounter a game with such a brilliant music score.

I liked what Morison did with Anarchy Online when he took over. Is anything really changing with him in the drivers seat that would make me want to leave Eve Online and LOTRO? Did they fix AOC?

Ive been a tooth and nail defender of this game from the start, and im glad to see that they are puching out some end game content. not to sound ungrateful as i think Morison is doing a great job, but they still need more, and soon. ive actually stepped away from AoC for a few weeks while this patch comes in and the mergers get done. i have no doudt those two items will make a huge difference.
@Lateris i would wait a little while. give it till feb after the server mergers are done and patch 4 is out. right now you would see alot of player in the lower levels working on alts, and server rerolls if you came to tyranny server, but end game pvp is getting a little thin atm. im sure you would have a good time, but once you hit about 70-75 it would slow down depending on your pve/pvp preferences.

Depends on what you mean by fix. Bugs are mainly worked out and the game runs well (great if you have a higher end machine).
End game still needs work
People that think the itemization failed will still think that

Crafting is improving, but still needs work
Class balance is close. Don't expect 1v1 to ever be completely balanced. However, class balance usually continues until the game dies.
