Spellborn updates for 2009 mapped out

Although the US is still waiting for The Chronicles of Spellborn to finish up its beta phases, the European version of the game has already been released. As is usually the case with an MMO launch, the developers didn't just flip the switch and then wash their hands of the project, and have been pushing out patches and hotfixes to their live servers as needed. Now we've been given an idea of where they hope to take the game over the coming year, via a post on the official forums. In the short term, a big patch is expected to be ready for the end of January, which will include some new monsters as well as a tutorial that comes in response to feedback from the community and press. A bit later in the year, the plan is to roll out the market, and an arena match-up system that will allow 2v2 and 4v4 PvP games. Longer term development goals include mounts and guild alliances, but when we're looking at this time-frame, it's highly likely that more ideas will come about. So, who is already on board with Spellborn?

I tried to get on this (I'm in the UK) a month ago or so ago after reading about it here, but had insane difficulties registering and downloading the client.
The EU site seemed to be a cousin of the DAOC site - full of broken, wrongly labelled links that did nothing and went nowhere. The client at the time came in 4 pieces, one of which was a mis-labelled repetition, forcing a Google for an obscure German site that had the correct file. The other effect of this bizaare distro was the fact that none of the vaguely obscure hosting sites could get the buggers out faster than sub-56k speeds.
The whole thing was strangely shambolic and I gave up in the end and went back to Moria to wait for the US launch, with which I hope I'll have more success. I'm still excited to try the game, esp. after Eurogamer's favourable impressions, but I just hope they don't GOA the whole www side of things!

I found a review on a german page. Spellborn got 73 % there. Obviously it still lacks end-game content.

It's in the clearance bin here in Germany. 14.99 euro in Muller (a retail chain)
This game was DOA.
