Are you excited for the Choppa, or perhaps you're more of a Slayer? Maybe you can't wait to get your hands on some official forum action? You might just be itching to dive into that shiny new dungeon or experiment with the new RvR or crafting changes. Or better yet, none of this new content may interest you at all, and you're just excited that hundreds of bugs will get squashed with this patch. No matter what it is that tickles your fancy today, we want to hear about it. Let us know!

Sucks that everyone that was on my friends list in-game have all canceled their accounts. Forcing people to make yet another alt is boring, so this "expansion" is going to be boring...
Anyone else looking to buy Darkfall when they finally fix the account system? :D

You can buy Darkfall, but why should expect anything better compared to the last failed MMORPG?
All new games get lot of hype, but shortly after they reveal themselves as boring, bugged...
So, one should ask to himself "Am I willing to pay X for that game, despite all the good reviews of its beta, considering that I'll probably play it only on the free month and I'm not even sure I'll enjoy that month?"

I'm looking forward to forgetting there are even caster-healers in this game. I'm looking forward to retiring my "solid" Zealot to spend more time with my Swordmaster and Magus. I'm looking forward to spending more time in Guild Wars and the launch of JGE.

Ok back to reality:
Really.. excited times.. I recall 1.x patch days of WoW and its now going on with WAR. New stuff, bug fixes.

The next patch of WoW excites me way more to tell the true and that's not saying much like I am kinda burned out on WoW. WAR was and is still a big disappointment and the EA logo on top of it make me stay far far away from this WoW Clone with better pvp system but sucky PVE

See how contradicting that is? I think you are playing (or played) WAR for the wrong reason, it was never meant to have great PvE, its all about killing other people.

War was buggy at launch - very much like WoW, which was not all smiles on launch, oh no no no. There wasn't (relativly) that much hype back then for it to live up to thankfully or it would be of been flamed to death by todays standards.
Like WoW, War got slowly better (but not as good, for me anyway, but I don't play either anymore, so I can't really be a fanboi I guess :) )
Darkfall will be buggy for a while, and yes it will get better, like all these games do. The difference when WoW started was there was no where to run back too when things got tough, unlike now where they've had time to actually get Azeroth functioning.
What wont change no matter whatever the game is that some people are just tired of the format. Kill 10 rats here, 10 something else there. And why bother doing all the same stuff again in a new game when Blizzard churn out just enough new content (although ever easier) to keep the old players just (barely) happy enough not to quit and keep bringing in the new people.
No new game, no matter how well made - at launch or even a year in with all the fixes and balances in the world, is going to bring back the magic of the first hundred hours you stuck into your first online game i.e. for most WoW, for some of us Ultime online - UO people will grin at the thought of another game with unlimited PVP play, you know why. Bound to be good... I might try it just for the laughs.
Either approach these games with a fresh mind and a little patience or why bother wasting your money :)

War was buggy at launch - very much like WoW, but WoW was launch more them 4 years ago on a Market where MMOs still where pretty new under the mass people. People did take there time with WoW like they trust Blizzard and most of them did play (and maybe still do) Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3. They did not really known what they will get most of them think it will be a 3d Diablo 2 in the warcraft settings... Anyway they stick with the game true the buggie times trusting blizzard will do everything to get it right and they did! The success of WoW and the survival of the early year was the name Blizzard build in the PC gaming biz!
Now we going to the WAR and AoC both this developers did not really bring out any games before that where any good or known my the mass PC players. Both where marketed as the best game in the biz a mmo much better them WoW in the end they did not deliver but bring us a bug fest in place!
The mass pc gamer now known what is a mmo and does get overrun by adds and so on for mmos. The mass player not care for what mmos where before WoW they want a WoW 2! And get bugs and messy releases. Alpha and Beta releases of final clients crashing more them they do work. Also no real known name behind the screen... people not pay for crap and people they not can trust! The END!

I'm going to wait a couple of days and then check back with the unofficial forums and see one thing: did they fix the worst exploitable bugs in the game? If not, then NOTHING excites me about 1.2, and I'll go on playing other things. Electronic Arts won't hire enough people to police the PvP areas properly, so until the worst exploits are patched, only the cheaters are winning. Not my idea of fun. Now if, against all odds, they have fixed the worst exploits, I'll be back in a heartbeat. Hands down, WAR is the best PvP MMO ever invented, nobody else even comes close. But now that EA has forced them into harsh budget cuts, I just don't see them being able to maintain it.

I’m not excited by any of it. I’m disappointed that 1.2 didn’t get nearly the attention and testing it should have. Like 1.1, there wasn’t enough testing or feedback wasn’t implemented fast enough. And like 1.1, 1.2 will release to early and bring with it a whole new slew of frustrations and imbalances that weren’t “foreseen” and players will grow irritated again. Hopefully, they’ll realize their haste before 1.3 and the game will actually improve, rather then rotating problems.
My time in WAR has come to a close for a while. I’m more then willing to revisit the game down the road, and I’ll be keeping in touch w/ my guild’s WAR chapter about it. As the game is now (and the pace of the development cycle) I just don’t find things worthy of my time or money.
I’m really hopeful for the future of the title, but Mythic will have to hunker down and really give the remaining & new player base what it wants, instead of covering old frustrations and holes in the game, with “55 pages” of potential new ones.
In closing, I did get to play a T1, T2, and T3 Slayer. Though, the testing wasn’t all that valid (considering it was 100 Slayers vs, 100 Choppas) the class felt REALLY clean and fun. I think those that are playing through the bugs & imbalances of WAR will really enjoy the Slayer.

I'm actually very excited, and a little baffled by all the anti-WAR talk here. Seems a lot of WoW drones chirping here simply don't have any perspective or memory of just how crappy WoW was when it launched. And compared to WAR's launch, it isn't even close. WAR's launch was pretty smooth. WoW's was crap. The difference was WAR had a lot of hype. WoW didn't.
And like just about every other MMO out there, WAR has gotten much better over time. This new patch finally gives both sides a new DPS class, a new scenario which sounds pretty cool, and some much needed balance fixing. Witch Elves really needed a serious nerf, and Order healing classes like Archmage and Rune Priest needed some love. The patch notes suggest both healers got some nice buffs, and the Sword Master got some love as well. Destro Witch Elf players are a bit annoyed, but that's expected. They were over-powered and did far too much damage.
Buffing the Order healers will hopefully give the good guys some much needed healing, which they've been lacking. Also, with so many ready to roll Slayers, healers will certainly be needed.
I personally feel that WAR is a superior game to WoW, but that's just me. Walking everywhere and dealing with a player community with the moral scruples of guinea pigs is not my idea of fun. In WAR, action is fast, and playing on a PvP server, I feel as though War is indeed everywhere.

I love WAR, pimples and all. For me, the new Zone Domination system is something I hope brings about some positive gameplay changes in RvR. So that's what I am looking forward to.
Unlike most, the new classes don't really ring my bell. I suppose sooner or later I will try them, but it is all the system upgrades and gameplay changes/bug fixes that most excite me about 1.2.

Forgot about zone domination! There are also the new siege weapons. If there is one element of WAR this is most disappointing, it isn't PVE (which I don't think is any more or else exciting than WoW's PVE), it is the keep sieges. They need to focus on revamping that next. Keep sieges in DAoC were much more interesting, I'm told. Sieges in WAR isn't "bad." It can just get repetitive, and there is no real reward for defending a keep.
Maybe with zone dominance, it will add something more.

Excited? Not really. What this patch really represents, aside from a pair of new classes, are a huge number of bug fixes, balance changes, improvements to crafting and the new zone domination system.
These are all good fixes/changes and I'm pleased wit them - but they don't excite me. What will is new content, which is what you'll see with 1.3 I believe.

Not sure why all the naysayers are leaving comments. If you dont like the game then skip the articles about it for godsake. This patch should be interesting. Slayers are always cool, just like the book series about them. And the Orc class looks interesting. This will also populate the lower end areas again which is always a good thing. I am really enjoying this game. I can go into for 2 hours and just pvp and feel like i have done something. I took a keep, ambushed an order party, etc. Wow is just kinda getting dull you have to sign up for events there is always guild drama, pug groups always suck and you cant just get up and go. Im just tired of it and finnally canceled my account after having one since 2004. There are still bugs in War but i still find it a hell of alot of fun and i have dragged alot my wow friends into the game and they are staying. There was a reason Blizzard has been watching this game like a hawk and i think they are going to loose some of thier base players to it.

Hmm ; not so much excited as quietly hopeful.
These previous 3 weeks of re-subscription have been my best ever in Warhammer, but now that my new Warrior Priest has gone from zero to 33/27 I'm starting to hit the old "now what ?" problem.
Meaningful (even meaningless) rewards are fewer & further between, scenarios are settling in to a love-these-ones hate-these-ones groove and T4 Open RvR is of course samey again after a few adventures...
I'll definitely be trying out the new crafting system, PQ adjustments, Open RvR awareness tweaks and Bitter Rivals - but unless the enigmatic "improved all itemisation & world drops" are surprisingly more than math I cannot really see myself extending my subscription.
Simply no character progression (or at least not enough) to aim for passed a certain point, and no loot to hope for beyond extremely time-intensive lotteries.
