WAR gets an "official" free trial in NA, Europe, and Oceania
Filed under: Fantasy, Warhammer Online, News items

Potential North American and Oceanic players should head to this official trial starter page, which includes links to a quick start guide, list of system requirements, cinematic trailer, and 41MB game installer. European players can head directly to War-Europe.com and create their trial account. Anyone wishing to upgrade free trial accounts can do so by purchasing a retail copy from their favorite game shop and following these simple steps. Mythic also put together an official free trial FAQ page which should answer any other questions you might have.
Since the enormous 1.2 patch dropped earlier this week, now seems like a great opportunity for anyone sitting on the fence to give WAR a shot for free.

Very well planned, considering that there will be a lot of players in T1 from the Slayer and Choppa. It will give anyone on a trial for the first time, the fun experience at launch when T1-3 was full of players.
This is a well planned PR push that could certainly improve their numbers.

Guess this news is meant to cover up the whole "Source Server Character Transfers" situation. That means server mergers for the uninitiated.

Good luck to the new players.
I am an enthusiastic fan of Warhammer Online but this week has been miserable for patches.
I get very little time to play and have been trying to figure out when I'm going to log on and find my server up.
WAR: I'll deal with the bugs, okay? Just keep the patches to a few times a week. Sound good?

About time. After the last patch, this is probably about as close as we're going to get to the game Mythic wanted to launch with. Game can be loads of fun, my favorite pvp hands down!

Warhammer might have grabbed me if that first "free" trial was actually free, but since then I've re-subscribed to WoW. Maybe you'll get another chance six to nine months from now.

I'd definitely recommend that anyone who hasn't tried WAR check out this trial.
While, personally, I didn't think it was good enough to pay for at release and still don't think it's good enough to pay for now, it's better than a bunch of other MMOs I've tried, and you'd be silly not to at least see for yourself.

this is an awesome idea, and i took the trial plunge and i am happy to say i enjoy it. but i hit the lv 10 cap in 1 day (14 hours, sorta continuous) , so now 2nd day into trial i have to buy the game to keep leveling....didn't know you could level so fast.
