GM Dave goes for a ride in World of Warcraft, finds out it's not Final Fantasy XI

Everyone's favorite drunken Final Fantasy XI game master, GM Dave, has decided to finally cross over to the dark side and take a spin in World of Warcraft. Instead of relating his experiences with feeding people who call GMs for unnecessary reasons to the FFXI dragon Jormungand, he's been asked to relate his experiences with World of Warcraft for one entire week by one of his site's donators.Surprisingly enough, even after an entire post about how his wife cheated on him with WoW, his feelings ended up being mixed with the game. While he enjoyed certain aspects of it, other aspects, like the community and ease of gameplay, put him off from full enjoyment. But, as he said in his blog, regarding playing a paladin, "I didn't hate it. That's big for me. I hate everything."

As a Warcraft player I would honest to god have been happier if the basterd had hated every last piece of it........

I wonder why final fantasy players always complain about wow's graphics. I've seen both, and to be honest - in many cases ffo looks about as good, most of the combat animations and raid bosses look worse to me.

Yes WoW is better than FF11 and thats why more people play it and why across the board it has much better reviews and why everyone is still playing it after all these years and not FF11.
The only people who hate on WoW are people who hate popular things.
While I don't play WoW myself I do respect the fact it is the best mmorpg out there, the most polished and just offers the best alround experience and the great Warcraft Lore.
Just a shame I've been playing mmorpgs for years before WoW and I'm sick of the fantasy setting and the gameplay current mmorpgs offer.
+ WoW's community is one of the best because it is Alive and keeps on growing and most people who play the game inside the game don't take it seriously and are friendly. I've met some of the nicest people in WoW and grouped up with them and had a very good time and on top of that the community makes really great videos. However I played games like EVE or Everquest and they are full of elitist pricks who think they're better than WoW for some reason. Cause every time I go into them games it is just full of people who have nothing better to do but spam on local how I or WoW sucks and how I should go back to it cause i'm a noob......... like no I'm just gonna not play this game.
WoW's graphics are also much much better than FF11.

FFXI Graphics are far superior to WoW...but thats besides the point
FFXI is the sort of game which would chew up any WoW player and spit him out with a brain hemerage.
Nuff said.
