With
the blog of Brad McQuaid springing back online after a long hiatus, many folks are once again talking about
Vanguard - for better or worse. Of course, while McQuaid has been offline racing dirtbikes, the folks at
SOE have been hard at work improving the game leaps and bounds from those early days. Today's
One Shots shows off a dreary, stormy night, and a poor, sodden wanderer - CaptainZoli - who decided it might be better outside than inside. CaptainZoli writes:

Vanguard has rain, lightening, moving cloud systems, snow, a bunch of nice weather.
As for the Asylum, before my subscription ran out (and I haven't resubbed due to lack of people I know playing) - I was right out side it on Xeth. :)

Yeah the clouds are volumetric. A bit of a resource hog, but it looks REALLY good if you can handle it.

Yea, if you have the system vanguard is very beautiful. I still wish it had a good launch, had so much potential.

I've been playing Vanguard for a few months now and haven't seen a single rain drop. I've heard rain, even some thunder, but never saw it.

Back when I played it (about a year ago) the rain had an issue with Vista and you could not see it. If you run XP you can see it though.
My wife's PC has XP and she saw it, mine, couldn't because I had Vista.
