I'm looking forward to the competition and interaction aspects - the SimCity games are fantastic, but it's a solitary triumph when you build a massively diverse, visually stunning city.

Quite looking forwards to this game, always thought that it would be a great concept for a sim city style MMO, the political and economic aspects are particulary interesting and i think also its going to be quite interesting to see how the planets and citys evolve over time and wether they adhere to real world models on economic and population growth or wether it will just be a case of get as big as you can as fast as you can

I'm looking forward to running a city, trading with other cities, & testing out all those "bright ideas" of city design that you wish the planners of your own city had used, hoping that terrain is important & that it is possible to build upon many kinds of land.

Sounds very cool. I'm looking forwards to being able to visit other people's cities. And try to remake London in mine.

I'm looking forward to this one. I have spent a lot of time in Sim City games over the years and hopefully this is just as good as those. I really want to see how live player interaction affects the over all game.

Well the feature im most looking forward to in Cities XL is the political and economics part. How this will work and the basic understand of the game.
It would be nice to be able to check out and understand the aspect of the game and see how it would evolve and as Uglydave said it: it's going to be interesting to see how the plants and citys evolve.

I've always wondered when someone would take advantage of a City-Simulation MMO. Sim City has just been begging to be made into an mmo. I think the communication level between the cities will be the biggest thing I'm looking forward to seeing.

A truly massive city builder, finally. I expect it will be highly detailded in terms of complexity, sophistication and realism and, most of all, customizable by the community. Last but not least, the online component: trading management, resource sharing, a suprisingly live social enviroment, like the everyday life.

i love the idea of creating virtual cities, and creating relations with other lead by other players.

Really wondering how this is gonna work. The Feature I'm looking forward to is naturally how it's gonna work with all those cities vs landmass, and all that... depending on how big it becomes...

looks very interesting, somewhat of a change from the typical fantasy type mmo. The thing that intrigued me the most was the ability to work together with others to shape your city as opposed doing your own thing. I've always been a huge fan of the 'sim' games, the aspect i enjoyed the most was building and creating stuff, so yes, looking forward for this one.

The online play. How player interaction in a typically single player game/genre will work out -- especially concerning the shaping of the worlds and relationships between cities.

Well apart from the fact that it's a truly unique MMO (building cities vs leveling elves; economy & trade vs "go kill x # of mobs")... what also looks interesting is the web-based aspect... and again, it's not just getting your character's stats for a forum banner img, but being able to make adjustments from the web... sounds very interesting.

I'm really looking forward to playing around with the city building, seeing what aspects of it are specific to Cities XL gameplay, and what aspects could be applied to a virtual environment that allows players to construct large/massive settlements.
Second Life sorta supports it, but not explicitly- buildings are just objects that look like buildings, though as Terry Pratchett wrote; "Things that look like things often look more like things than things" :-P

You mean I can crush my opponents, see them driven before me, hearing the lamentations of their women in the vein of Arnold "The Governator" Schwarzenegger AND map out a city using Stonemason and mystic principles?? Sign me up!
