Runes of Magic introduces Druids and Wardens in The Elven Prophecy

We've told you all about the next patch -- entitled The Elven Prophecy -- for Runes of Magic and, in advance of the launch in September, Frogster have introduced two new Elven classes: the Druid and the Warden. Both classes are rooted deeply in nature, with their abilities tied to the world itself and each have their place within the world and lore of Runes of Magic.
Essentially Elven priests, Druids have similar abilities to a mage and are able to channel the gifts of nature in battle or to heal their allies. Wardens meanwhile, are the peacekeepers of Elven society and the land who exist in an almost symbiotic state with the flora of the Elves' homeland. In times of war, they are skilled at close combat. Frogster have updated The Elven Prophecy site with some suitably Elven artwork and information on both classes. You can also take a peek at our gallery to see what the new patch is going to look like.

Sheesh...he's in full plate bark...and she's in a leaf bikini.
That's not really fair now is it. >_>

Seriously, Runes of Magic’s home page looks like something you’d find on a renaissance fair t-shirt or a velvet painting, scantily clad dragon women and all.
T-A-C-K-Y.

Pathetic artwork.

Lol@you girls getting your knickers in a twist about the artwork!
The boys will like it and the girls playing won't care. This is a fantasy game, not RL.

Why would you assume I'm a girl? >_>

Its actually too bad the artwork inside the game isn't as good. The character models are Fugly!

@Celestian.
Despite my screenname I coined at the age of twelve when I was really into zoobooks, I can assure you I am a dude and I like scantily clad women as much as the next guy. However, I don’t like it when people shove glistening, firm breasts in my face and think that’s all it takes for me to try their product. It’s just tacky, transparent advertising and quite frankly, it’s insulting. I love boobs, but I’m not about to give away my precious time and money to just any old hooker elf who says “Hey sailor”.

Except, Snowleopard233, you don't have to give them any money.
Just saying.

Girls comment went along with knickers, I guess boys can wear them too ;)
Anyway, this is a high fantasy game and it's been a very common practice for decades to have artwork just like they did. If you are expecting it to be different (have you even created a character in RoM, have you seen the T-back on the knight or rogue females?) than their game you're just being naive.

I'm not sure I could find a sucker in this whole world willing to take the bet that the counterpart to female bikini Druid is a guy in floor-length robes.
If I succeed, I'll ask him/her if they'd like to wager that the female Warden ISN'T planning to deflect arrows with nipple armor and a strategic teacup.
*sigh*

Looks sweet.
I've been having way too much fun with my Warrior/Mage.
I'm really curious to see how much fun I could have on a Warrior/druid
Plus elite skills that combo will give me.
Runes of Magic rules.
I hope the company can carry their new revolutionary free-to-play MMORPG into game world size. It would be so very cool to have RoM's world be the size of...say, WoW.
