Massively webcomic: Grinders - Incumbent versus Reform

The superhero MMO debate is upon us, with hot button topics like PvP and Character Customization being thrown around as if we were trying to reform health care. Grinders has not picked a side, but in a year or two when the fresh car smell is gone from Champions Online and City of Heroes has either sank or swam, we'll have a clear idea of what we really actually want out of these games. Still, the competition is healthy for the market, and I say pile it on.

I hear in his next MMO, Jack's character will just be named Mary Sue, to prevent any confusion.

I think I'm going to try out Champions.

I have my reservations about it though, they could have very well dumbed it down too much by making the controls easily portable to console controllers.

From the screenshots I've seen only the 1-7 keys are power activation keys. And one of them is an auto "energy building" power. So that's only 6 powers to choose from.

Coming from CoH / CoV where i was used to having 10 power activation keys for 3 different trays. (Alt & Ctrl + number activated each). going from 30 to 6 is a huge drop in power decision making. Part of what keeps battle engaging is just that, deciding which power to use for that moment.
