WAR reveals details on its Wild Hunt live event
Filed under: Fantasy, Events, in-game, Warhammer Online

Taking inspiration from the ancient Celtic myth of Herne and the Wild Hunt, the event takes place from 31st August until 7th September. As well as the Hunter's Vale, players will also be able to chase down a mystic white stag in order to gain a special buff and the favour of the God as well as proving themselves able huntsmen. The Wild Hunt marks the first of a series of special events planned with special versions of the Mourkain Temple (September 11th-14th), Gates of Ekrund (September 18th-21th) and Temple of Isha (September 25th -28th) scenarios.
"This anniversary marks a major milestone for WAR, the Mythic development team, and our fantastic community of players," Jeff Hickman, WAR's Executive Producerm said. "We could think of no better way of marking this occasion than by celebrating our success with our fans for the entire month of September. We've got new content to share with the Wild Hunt live event, special versions of popular scenarios, and a 20% experience and renowned bonus, plus, players can get special rare drops, veteran rewards, fireworks, Halfling pies, and exploding stout! Now that is a party Warhammer style!"

There is a better chance of hunting this "mystic white stag", than there is of managing to hunt down five other players on your server to group with ...
Sorry I wasn't going to be as nasty anymore, but it's soooo harddddd

Poor, poor Mr Angry, you must be foaming at the mouth because of the fact that people are still playing and enjoying the game. Haven't you moved on to another game to hate, yet?

WTF Abriael??? I thought we chased you out of town with torches and pitchforks??? What the hell you doing back at Massively????? ;)
You know it's a real privilege when Warhammer's number one fanboy makes a return especially to defend his honor..... and to vote your comments down using proxy servers!! I feel very humbled!!

Instead of these live events why dont you fix the classes that need it the most. Those marauders, zealots, runepriest, Witch elves, Black orcks, black guards and Magii.
I love how the devs gut perfectly working classes and then say that fixing a known glitch on an order class would 'gut' that class and that they will just change how much it takes to proc.
I gave mythic 3 chances already with this game already, Im not paying a single cent more on it.

Sure thing, and please keep us up to date on how much you also hate World of Warcraft and Champions Online too.... If it's OK for you to dish it for those games and associated companies, you can't really get you panties in a wad when your own red headed stepchild get a very much deserved slap.

Mr Angry, you've made more comments on this single post than I've made about CO and WoW (which I actually play) -total-.

They are closing down the oceanic servers now from what I understand?
Geez, this game is like a sinking ship...why won't my wife listen to me and quit so we can play something else???? AArrrgg!!!!!!!!!!
I predict an announcement to shut down before Q1, 2010 if this keeps up.

Instead of live events they should fix the horrible game and netcode engine, and get rid of 'mythic' seconds..
Fat chance of that happening, this ship is sunk.

Actually, over the past few updates, the game has been getting better. I'm playing it off and on and actually enjoying myself. I haven't crashed from the game in 3 weeks and that is impressive. Of course, I also did a complete new install on a brand new hard drive with windows 7 and the game is running just fine.
I'm even enjoying my Zealot immensely, whom before a few patches ago I couldn't seem to do anything with. Personally I think they game should maybe go to a lesser sub fee or free to play like Dungeons and Dragons did. It's a fun game, but it isn't a game I see myself playing for hours on end like I am with games like FFXI or WoW in its' early days.

This is a great solution I feel, to drop the fee to something that makes it hard not to pay it, then supplement with RMT. As much as I hate it, it's the only way I can foresee this being a continued success and to draw people back.

New patch is nothing but bugs and server crashes, though i think they are patching it again today. Cant really comment on it i cant stay in more then 30 min before it crashes again.

I figured the WAR haters would've moved on to Aion by now or something. Ah well, soon enough.
