Gatheryn invites all to open beta
Filed under: Betas, Fantasy, New titles, Casual, Gatheryn
If you've had your sights set on seeing what the world of Gatheryn has to offer you, then wait no longer as open beta is here.
If you're looking to download the world of Elymia, then look no further than the download and registration page. The game is a pretty modest download while the registration is brief and easy (exactly how a good registration should be.) With little muss and fuss, you'll soon find yourself logging in and seeing what the steampunk world has to offer you!
Bugs can be reported on the main site, while there are discussions going on in the forums. Forum registration is separate, so don't forget to go register there too while you're downloading the client!

I'm extremely interested in this game, but I'm wondering if they actually have even a vague release date for it? Or if it's going to be f2p?

It is free-to-play and it will be released soon but there won't be a wipe after open beta so, its technically realeased already ;)

Well, I just installed, logged in, made my guy.
For those that have long wanted a character with a fat belly? This is the game for you. Might not be next-gen graphics but you can make a fat belly so there's that going for it.
It's definitely beta, though. The "options" are a "feature coming soon" which I found hysterical. If I had a complaint from the first five minutes it's that since there are no options there's no way to invert the mouse to something similar to every other MMO I've ever played.
That said, it does look kinda cool in a "this looks like the steampunk area of Second Life" sort of way.
It appears to be a unique setting compared to many other games I've played.
Don't know why but despite the lackluster graphical horsepower I'm still keen to play. Oddly, there's no NPC waiting for you on login which more than most games invites the player to just explore on their own.
