WRUP: Fresh meat edition

This week we're glad to welcome two new writers to the staff - Rubi Bayer and Eliot Lefebvre. Now that we've managed to sucker them into signing away their souls teach them the ropes, it's time to start contemplating what evil, time-sucking games to assign them as part of their initiation. Check in with the team below to see what we're playing this week and then leave your own notes letting us know what you're up to. Be sure to suggest some games we should give the new people, too!
Krystalle Voecks - @Krystalle - Popping up to Atlanta to check out the third annual SIEGE conference for a bit before zooming back home for a family function. I don't figure I'll get much time in to game as such, but I've loaded Fallen Earth and EVE Online onto my trusty laptop anyway. You know, just so I can check mail, auctions and skills. Not because I'm addicted to those games or anything. Nooo.
Brendan Drain - @nyphur - I'll be playing EVE Online most of the weekend while I try to decide if I should run for election in the next CSM or not. It's a lot of work but I think I could do some good in there.
Eliot Lefebvre - I'm going to be playing the writing game, as I've got a new interface to get accustomed to and a number of creative projects that I haven't been working on nearly as fast as I ought to. I've also got one last character over in World of Warcraft to bring up to level 80, so I'm hoping to get a fair chunk of that done over the next couple days.
Kyle Horner - @KyleHorner It's Champions Online for me this weekend as I work on leveling up my Power Armor character. I also plan on seeing Zombieland, which isn't a game so much as it's an awesome movie about zombies.
Brooke Pilley - @Snafzg - Aiiiiiiiiioooooooon. My goal is to reach 20 and start participating in PvPvE via rifts!
James Egan - @jamesegan - I'll be writing and checking out the live video feed of EVE Fanfest. Some friends are trying to get me join them in this thing where people dress up like zombies and wander through this town and hit bars in the evening as the dead, but more likely I'll play some EVE Online, ODST, and jump back into Steam for the new Left 4 Dead content. It's been way too long since I played L4D or TF2.
Rubi Bayer - Less Guild Wars than normal, more Dungeons and Dragons Online and lots of writing!
Tracey John - @TraceyJohn - It's going to be a rainy weekend in NYC, so I'll be helping some friends through Uldaman and Zul'Farrak in World of Warcraft, and perhaps finally delve into some Aion!
William Dobson - I've had such a busy week that I haven't even had time to think about what I want to do now that it's over. I might play some Champions Online, or I might just sleep for two days.
Seraphina Brennan - @sera_brennan - Helping to run the KuroKiiro Festival in Pittsburgh - a cultural Japanese festival/convention. Although, for being so culturally correct, we still show off video games. Lots and lots of video games. So, basically, running video games for geeks. It's awesome.

Krystalle, when I gave you my Barbie Girls VIP password I thought you'd be more discreet.

My level 16 Shopaholic just saved up enough for a Dreamhouse! But I think I spent too many training points on make-up and not enough on coupon-clipping. :(

You're just pissed off because it shows everyone how absurdly OP your current wardrobe is.
And those pink heels you're wearing around? Those things are way imba. You haven't crossed to the dark side of Barbie Girl exploits, have you?

You might be right about the heels, but the real problem is that rhinestones are overpowered. The secret's in the rhinestones.

Aion all the way here, lv25 is creeping nigh.. some Abyss action by tomorrow, hopefully.
I`ve completely given up on using the random rifts for >25 PvP action, finding one is just not happening for me.

You want to really show them quickly that it's not all gumdrops and rainbows, force one of the new people to play and review NIDA Online. Make sure they play it at least 3-4 hours. Also make sure there are no sharp objects or ropes or anything that they can hurt themselves with in the room.

Artwork looks nice... But how bad is it really? XD

More Fallen Earth for me.
To be honest, I don't think I can go back to another fantasy and/or themepark MMO ever again. They're just too linear. Here's to hoping Bioware doesn't do this but I have a feeling they will to cater to the mass market. :(
