Dev blog sheds light on Champions' Zombie Apocalypse

One of the coolest features coming with Champions Online's October 27th Blood Moon update is the addition of Zombie Apocalypse, a PvP map that features a scenario instead of the typical objective involving kill scores. Sound interesting to you? Then we highly recommend this developer blog discussing the entire process of creating the ruleset, as it awards a keen insight on the how and why of said rules.

There are two good things happening here: One is the obvious, that Cryptic is adding a new PvP map that's something more than the launch offerings. The other is that they're being communicative with a new piece of content's development process. This seems like a minor plus but in truth, when a developer demystifies the reasoning behind their content it only serves to elevate player perception and appreciation of said work. Our only suggestion would be to boost the presentation of these dev blogs (behind the scenes in-game pictures are always cool) in order to draw even more attention to them.

PVP in that game right now is 100% broken. There is a power that makes the person using it almost totally invincible. The only kills are on people without it, and before long everyone will take it. There has been some vague talk of them fixing it, but several patches have come and gone without even a whisper about it. I ended up quitting over it at 40, since pvp was completely broke, and that was the only thing left to do.

It's even made worse now that the OP'd PvP'er can keep that way, simply by a swipe of a credit card and a full respec...not matter what Cryptic does to change the Powers to balance PvP...

...not that I want them to change Powers in the first place cause that ends up screwing the PvE side over. But I digress...for your sake, you're right and it's not getting any better.

You know it remains a PvE game right? so factoring PvP over PvE in a PvE game sounds odd, anyway the fix is been pushed on the PTS and soon on live.

I guess patience is a long lost ability nowadays.

If something is overpowered in pvp, chances are it is in pve as well.
