Alganon decides to wait a month

Are you excited about Alganon? Excited enough, perhaps, that you might have chosen to take a couple days off from work in anticipation of its scheduled launch on October 31st? If so, we've got some kind of bad news for you. It's not coming out then after all. As a matter of fact, it isn't going to release until December 1st, according to community manager Tork at the official site.
What's the reason for the delay? The official post is shy of concrete reasons, but it mentions that the decision was reached in order to test on a larger scale as well as refine the game further. It also mentions that they're looking forward to running more contests and improving their visibility -- both excellent aims. Community response has been surprisingly positive and moderate, which might be a good sign in advance. If you are one of the people who pre-ordered, however, the announcement isn't just bad news -- everyone who pre-ordered the game by October 31st will get a free month in compensation. Actually playing Alganon will have to wait for a little while, but an extra month certainly helps take the edge off.

Community response has been positive because everyone who played this joke of a game in beta knows how broken and ill-prepared for release it is. Another month might be enough to correct some of the bugs that make it practically unplayable, and maybe...I dunno, actually patch in some of the features they're touting as selling points. I doubt that'd be enough though.

Yeah - I've read nothing but negativity since the NDA lifted....

Doomed-from-conception-game is doomed.
Whoever advised them to green light this game is a TREMENDOUS idiot.
Why play in Asheroth when you can play in Azeroth? Why play this game when you can play the game it's BLATANTLY trying to copy for less money.
This game is everything that is wrong with the MMO market right now. It's part of the problem.

Christ. It's even more generic-looking than Aion.

Uh yeah... because all the other MMOs out there which make Aion 'generic' are also being praised for their graphics?
Make your own opinion, don't just download it from Syncaine.

You know I downloaded this on a whim, and man it is such a blatant ripoff, that even the first human quest is collecting furs from wolves.
Even the UI is pratically the same, character creation, I dont see how people can get away with this? Copyright infringement?

The game needed a lot of polish from the looks of it. A lot of people within the blogosphere, gamers and developers alike, have criticized the game on everything from being a blatant WoW clone (copied interface including the keyring button, but never took the keyring button out, so it is just a non-clickable button on the interface), to graphics, to lack of originality, content or lore.
Here are a few examples of said previews.

F2P is the only way this game would survive.
