One Shots: Darkness lies ahead
Filed under: Fantasy, Screenshots, Lord of the Rings Online, One Shots
For the day before Halloween we thought we'd bring you something pretty scary. But then we thought to ourselves that it's Friday, and that's pretty awesome. So we opted for a compromise showing both scary and awesome at the same time! Today's great Lord of the Rings Online One Shots comes to us from Leitchy, who captured this mix of beauty and danger just ahead. Leitchy writes in: I know you've had lots of pics from Lord of the Rings Online, but I think this one is the best of all. Looking from a point beyond Far Chetwood, we can see the ruins of Amon Sul in the distance. A couple of half-orcs in the middle distance are the only blot on the landscape.
With so many different Halloween events going on this weekend, we know there are going to be some great screenshot moments. So grab some of those and send them in to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the name of the game, and a quick description. If we get enough, maybe we'll do a special spooky version of One Shots to show off all the holiday adventures!

LOTRO seems to dominate Massively's One Shots. It totally deserves it, it's one of if not the nicest looking MMORPG world out there.

Is that a DX10 pic? I picked up LotRO at Target for $5 and am looking forward to trying it out after I install Win 7 -- activating the DX10 on my vid card.
I played the game about 6 mos to a year ago and really liked it.

Prepare to be floored by LOTRO in DX10. Make sure you play on the highest graphics settings though or you won't get all the detail and eye candy.
