Warhammer Online releases November newsletter

The first order of business was patch 1.3.3. It's expected shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend is over, and will implement some exciting changes for new and veteran players. This patch will implement the War Report, which is pretty much what it sounds like. Every 8 hours, a "snapshot" of events going on around the world will be made available, with the opportunity to teleport instantly to the closest area of interest. The other big change is the Underdog System. Underdogs will be granted what amounts to a handicap that makes it easier for underpopulated realms to take objectives and cap zones.
WAR will also be bringing a few graphical improvements with this patch, including post-processing effects and HDR Lighting, and the team is preparing for an event all seasoned players look forward to: Keg End. Some corrections to the post above. The War Report is a UI interface that will give a live view of the where the action is taking place and allow you to teleport instantly to the war front every 8 hours.

So I keep reading that they keep closing servers slowly. Think they will ever come ahead? They are putting so much effort into the game. I would like to see a rise in people playing the game but it seems like its slowly bleeding. Now I don't know if all this is true or not. This is what I head from others. I wish the best of luck with the War team and I hope they can start pulling more players.

Once they get the game to a point of quality/fun where people STOP leaving I think they may come back around.
I think word-of-mouth works good in MMOs. There ARE older games like EVE Online which get to a point of maturity where the users can start having so much fun that they start recruiting more and more friends.
WAR lost me as a paying customer. But if they can get mass PvP really working well I can see them having a resurgence. I'm often tempted to return. I did enjoy playing I just couldn't see a light at the end of the tunnel bright enough for me to keep leveling my toon.

Is it just me but bio/mythic want this game to fail. I mean as in when this game fails it will give them more of chance to put more effort into Old Republic. I wish they would give us at least tease for a expansion pack. If they had one or working on one i am not sure if they are or not. I think it great that they fixing the problems with the game. But the end game content is just horrible. Well that my though's on the game so far

Make the game go F2P so that RvR would have a populations. Every Public Quest would have an endless people trying for the tier level. Then while people are getting busy, they should focus on SWTOR then have a trickle treat of content for your daily F2P market in Warhammer Online. Now you got the MAIN course and the side dish for the MMO MEAL. Yummy.

I've been a fan of the Warhammer World lore, both fantasy and 40K, for a long time. There are two words I use to describe Mythic's rendition of the fantasy Warhammer World: 'limited' and 'functional'. Hell, there are still ToK errors and NPC pathing bugs in Tier 1, and they've been struggling since release to make large scale RvR doable. Whether WHO is hindered by Mythic's imaginations or by the game engine or funding, I don't know. The end result is the same. The lore and the system are at tangible odds from player day one and I don't know if there is a solution for them outside of remaking the game.
