Lego Universe beta codes are starting to roll out

Offering what looks to be tons of fun hearkening back to our childhood (or in some of our cases, our continuing childhood) the Lego Universe beta opened up for sign-ups just a month ago. Prior to that, we saw a pretty awesome pirate zombie trailer and even some pretty slick looking alpha footage. If you haven't signed up for beta as yet, you'd best head over to the Lego Universe site now. (What are you waiting for!) If you already signed up, be sure to check those spam folders -- your invite could be waiting for you already. Meanwhile, we'll be over here, obsessively checking our mail for any sign of some brightly-colored Lego brick love.

Finally, one of the many betas I signed up for is starting to send out invites. Hopefully I get into this one. The video for it just seemed too fun to pass up. Besides...it's LEGO.

Eh, signed up for beta, but I could care less. This game is more kiddie than any game I've ever seen. Though I do love my legos.

This is a game that I would love to play, not just cause it's Lego, or I can build stuff, cause I can be a Pirate! YARR!!!!

Congratulations, you have been chosen to participate in the Closed-Beta test of LEGO Universe!
The Maelstrom is trying to destroy imagination, so hurry up and create a LEGO Universe account with your LEGO ID. You'll be a heroic minifig before you know it.
Time is valuable, but before you can battle chaos and help save imagination you must download the game to your PC.
Once you have done that, you can play at these times:
Thursdays: 17.00 - 03.00 EU (CET) / 11 am - 9 pm US (EST)
Saturdays: 20.00 - 02.00 EU (CET) / 2 pm - 8 pm US (EST)
Sundays: 14.00 - 17.00 EU (CET) / 8 am - 11 am US (EST)
It will surely be a lot of fun exploring LEGO Universe but you may find bugs that need fixing. Please report these to bugreport_uk@LEGOuniverse.com, and help us create the coolest universe ever.
