World of Tanks releases medium tanks trailer
Filed under: Trailers, Video, War, World of Tanks
A few weeks ago, we got a peek at the (relatively) zippy light tanks in World of Tanks, and now Wargaming.net is ready to show off the next group: Medium tanks.
They're a bit more versatile than the more specialized light tanks, according to producer Nick Katselapov: "Tanks like T-44 or Panther are jacks-of-all-trades in the game. They are fast, maneuverable and have decent firepower what makes them ideal for performing both defensive and offensive objectives."
The T-44 and Panther are highlighted in the trailer, along with the VK 3002 (DB) units. Follow along after the jump to see for yourself, and visit the World of Tanks site to apply for a closed beta key if you'd like a firsthand look!

The first time I saw any information (here at Massively of course) about World of Tanks, I was not in the least bit interested. However the concept of the game has grown on me over time. Sure they are not big stompy mecha, but this game actually looks pretty cool.
Certainly the game itself is looking like a lot of fun in terms of the shown gameplay. The graphics are pretty decent too. I think I may actually check it out a little more seriously now.

Big, stompy, mecha. Now THAT is a genre that could use a MMOG treatment! It seemed like Tabula Rasa was *toying* with the idea (of personal mechanized armor units) but the game shutdown before it could be fully realized.
That said, World of Tanks has my attention and appears to be a deeper, more complicated and strategic game than I originally perceived.

this game is so much friggin fun,yea it has a grind in order to get to your next tier of tanks but the grind itself is pretty much masked in all the fun you have getting there.

I was not expecting much out of this game, but it is so much fun it is ridiculous. This is the first FTP game that I am actually planning to spend money on.
