Serpentis are one of EVE's NPC pirate factions. They hunt in Gallente Federation territory and if you run missions for a Gallente agent, chances are you'll be fighting Serpentis more often than not. They use overhauled Gallente ships, turning cruisers like the Thorax into the more impressive black Vigilant seen here.

The Vigilant is available for players to buy. Single run blueprint copies of it drop in some complexes.
