The rest of the NPCs in the tavern are self-explanatory. There's one to gain your crafting vocations, one for the vault, there's an auctioneer, notary, etc. The Master of Apprentices here works like the other leveling NPCs. You talk to him once to get your vocation, then talk to him several more times to progress through to Grand Master of your crafting profession. As with the other leveling NPCs, you can only use these crafting quest advancements once per character, so choose wisely.
