Tens is a very important NPC, despite the fact that he's a drunken cat. He will grant you instant passage through all of the other Books up until Book 13. You will actually need to play through Book 13 yourself to get to Book 14. His sense of humor is great, and we highly recommend you read through what he has to tell you, which includes a bit of praise for Turbine. There are two Books that may throw you for a loop during this process. For Book 1, you will be teleported to Combe, but you can always map-travel back. For Book 9, you will die at the end of the progression. Usually, during a busy time, there will be someone there to revive you. If not, map-travel always works. Other than those two, you will simply stand there and accept the quests through each book.
