Here's where the crafting magic happens. The top panel lists your recipes, here filtered to recipes from the Swords and Axes tree. Two recipes have been bought or found, and we have chosen to make an Assassin's blade for a young Bloodletter. The next panel down is the work area. To the left, the icon of the crafted item. Next to that, a list of the "floating skills" invested -- fire/ice/electrical/poison damage/resistance, random effects and damage range. To the right is the modification table, along with the risk of failure, which builds as you increase the stats. The base stats for gear is very average, so you will always be adding some risk in order to make the items more attractive. Training in certain crafting areas can decrease that risk; a master swordsmith might be able to create amazing weapons with little risk, but do very poorly in armor. Specialization is king in Mythos crafting. At the bottom of the panel are the ingredients needed to create the sword -- the number on hand / the number required.
