Characters earn one skill point per level, and these points can be applied to their very own skill tree. This tree is used to unlock certain areas of expertise, getting into more advanced tiers of refinement once you get to higher levels. Each skill in the tree can be pumped up to level five, giving more powerful reactions with each pump. To achieve power higher than level five, you will need the aid of an Enhancement Stone, which is still based on a success/failure chance as with item enhancement.
