The less technologically advanced Minmatars' first encounter with the Amarr race set the tone for the co-existence between these peoples. The Amarr branded them as primitive barbarians, subjugating and enslaving the 'heathen Minmatars.' A proud and independent people, the Minmatars resisted and retained their own limited government representative of their various tribes and clans, but they live beneath Amarrian heels.
