Little is known of the enigmatic Jove. They differ in outlook and appearance from the other four races of New Eden. Manipulation of their genetic code has caused them to become a dying race, but one that still wields great influence in New Eden.

The Jovians ushered in the era of capsuleers, the technology employed by all of the races, enabling a single starship pilot to merge their consciousness with the vessel. Capsuleers became the new galactic elite, accomplishing feats on an individual level impossible for entire conventional fleets to match.
