One of the safer enemies to come across in Hyboria, the Tarantula usually hunts things no bigger than small birds, and would not normally attack a human without provocation. They tend to prefer creeping around to hunt for prey, rather than trapping it in webs, and their venom, while painful, is rarely lethal.
