While nearly every unit in the High Elf army could be considered elite compared to more horde-oriented enemies, the Shadow Warriors are elite even amongst the elite. They're light skirmishers who can hit hard both in melee combat and from afar. Their real specialty is acting as a screen for larger blocks of troops and utilizing the scout rules to harass enemies from the protection of cover.
