As much as players enjoyed the lore and story expansion offered in Blizzard's first expansion, most fans of Warcraft as a series are hotly anticipating a return to gameworld's roots. Arthas Menethil, last seen atop his ice-hewn Frozen Throne at the end of the WarCraft III expansion, will be a major force in the game's new content. The company has promised players will have far more interactions with Arthas than they did with Burning Crusade's frontman Ilidan. Players also generally seem to be generally appreciating a return to the game's swords-and-sorcery base after the 'high fantasy' of the Outlands.
