Northrend itself is an incredibly varied continent. Far from endless tracts of ice and snow, there are numerous different environments scattered across the continent's face. Jungles, plains, drained wastelands, and even deserts dot the landscape, creating varied environments within every zone in the expansion. The new zones speak not only to the company's honed skills at creating content, but at guiding players towards that content as well. Two zones offer entrance to the new continent (Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord), while others offer all new ways for players to experience the game's rich lore. One in specific, the unique Lake Wintergrasp, is an all-new PvP experience for WoW players.
