Exodus was hailed as the game's first true expansion. "The fray" took on a whole new meaning as player owned stations, new ships, and numerous improvements to the corporation and alliance system introduced the universe to warfare on a massive scale. For the first time, formal inter-corporate alliances were recognized and integrated into the universe. Players could now fight under a common banner and conquer systems as one united entity.
