Dreadlord D`Somni
It looks so peaceful...though it's anything but. There's a lot of trash roaming about, and it's very social. The zone is split into two sections. The near side of the Shard has three or four bosses (and a LOT of trash), and a decent tier 1 guild shouldn't have much trouble with it. Lyndro wasn't quite generous enough to tell us about the fights, but he said that he and the rest of the team had fun with the encounters, so expect some surprises. Though then they wouldn't be surprises any more, would they? Lyndro explained that back in EverQuest, the planes of Hate and Fear were two of a pair; you'd farm one of them for certain class armor, and the other for the rest of it. Although a bad pull could result in a long recovery, for most guilds the only challenge the planes offered was getting there before another guild. EQ was all about the contested raid zones. The focus is somewhat different in EQ2. You won't be farming Hate for class armor. Lyndro was cagey when asked what sort of loot we could expect from the zone, but he made it clear it would definitely be worth the fight.
