LotRO reminder: go get your keg!

A brief reminder, dear readers, that Lord of the Rings Online has been updated to Book 12 Patch 1, and that means that "Bullroarer's Challenge - Advanced" is back in the game. Remember to finish the quest for your Inn League Keg before the end of the Spring Festival, so that you too can enjoy being plastered beyond the state of consciousness, and find yourself in an exciting new location upon awakening.

If you need to catch up on the pre-requisites for the advanced challenge, our Spring Festival guide has you covered. The only step not featured is the one that has just been re-added, and it's simply a more strictly timed version of the drunken fence hopping you will have already completed to get that far. LotRO Book 12 Patch 1 pushed back a day

An update has been made to the original message detailing the patch downtime at the website. Those waiting anxiously to get their keg will need to wait just one extra day, as the Lord of the Rings Online scheduled downtime has been pushed back to Thursday, March 13th. The time of day will remain the same, from 6AM to 12PM Eastern.

There will, however, be some downtime occuring on Wednesday as well -- but only for the Lorebook. This handy resource will be unavailable for a mere 2 hours on March 12th, from 10AM to 12PM, and the reason behind this is to make some updates related to the recent introduction of Book 12.

Scheduled LotRO downtime to bring Book 12 Patch 1

We got a sneak peek at Book 12 Patch 1 the other day when Roheryn was updated, and now the patch is ready to go out to Lord of the Rings Online's live servers. Downtime has been scheduled for March 12th, from 6:00AM to 12PM Eastern, in order to bring the new build into effect. Roheryn will remain available to play on during this downtime.

Down the bottom of the list of changes, you'll notice that the "Bullroarer's Challenge - Advanced" quest is being reintroduced. This means that you'll be able to get the sweet drunken keg again after the patch is live. The rest of the notes for Book 12 Patch 1 are available after the break.

Notes for LotRO Book 12 Patch 1 available

The Lord of the Rings Online test server has been patched, and the notes have been made available for viewing. The patch should end up on live servers after a testing period on Roheryn, so it's a good heads up for what is ahead.

Highlights of the patch include some Guardian-specific updates, Book 12 bug fixes, changes to stop anti-exploit mode triggering on mobs so often, and ranged auto-attacks will miss more often if fired while moving. The full list of notes can be found after the break.
