• Level 30 Mounts. Yep, characters only need to be level 30 now to qualify for an apprentice mount. Training costs 35 gold.
• For the pet collectors there is a new Nether Ray Fry (non-combat) available from the Skyguard Quartermaster. Exalted faction is required.
• Haris Pilton is still annoying and she has another use now: Gold-digging! Pilton is selling 22-slot designer handbags available for 1,200 gold each in Shattrath's Lower City. Other expensive and so hawt baubles are also available.
  
• Epic gems can be purchased with Arena points and they are not unique-equipped.
• The new in-game loot from the Hunt for Illidan TCG expansion is now claimable. The D.I.S.C.O. ball and the new Ethereal Soul- Pet that doubles as a vendor of fun are just a few of the popular items players will be drooling over soon. Expect these cards to sell for a small fortune on eBay.
• The Rogue's class cheat death ability has been rebalanced -- or in other words -- nerfed.
  
• World Wide Invitational attendees can use their in-game code to claim the new (non-combat) Tyrael archangel pet.
  
• Alcohol cooldowns have been rolled into drinks: All 10-second cooldowns have been removed and replaced with the 1-second drink cooldown. We'll drink to that!

This past weekend Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational, also known as "BlizzCon Europe", had PC gaming fans throwing up the horns. Massively's sister site WoW Insider was onhand with pen, camera, and laptop from keynote to closing shop. World of Warcraft news was plentiful, of course, with a huge amount of information revealed about the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion. If you read one writeup, you should probably tackle the Developer's Panel. Class changes, big picture ideas and more are all covered in that one talk. There's also some great information for raiders in the Dungeon discussion, and a lot of promising talk about PvP for those folks.

Every class got a mini-Christmas, with plenty of love for Death Knight fans, Shaman raiders, and every single Hunter out there. We also recommend checking out the goodie bag, Turpster's hilarious interpretive dance, and (if you're into that sort of thing) there was some big non-MMO news dropped at the event's keynote. Check it out.

Massively's sister site WoW Insider is currently hard at work at the Worldwide Invitational, Blizzard's big to-do in France. They were onhand this morning for the big announcement, and though it's not really Massive we have to admit we're still pretty excited for Diablo 3. But you're here for MMO news, which the WI team has for you in spades. Representatives from Blizzard offered up a heaping helping of Wrath of the Lich King information, with some great info for just about every class. You're going to want to head to WoW Insider for the full monty, but here are a few highlights:

• Fury Warriors will be dual-weilding 2H weapons.
• Rogues will get a new AoE.
• Priests will get a new crowd control spell.
• Shaman totems will now affect an entire raid.
• Hunters (as if they weren't cool enough) are going to see pets having talent trees of their own. A complete revamp of the pet system.

Welcome back, it's been two weeks too long - though I blame that on the fact that its been time to party! Forgetting that, today is a special post, its a game close to my heart, and it isn't a review. It's World of Warcraft folks; there is no need to review it, what do you want me to say? Honestly, it's THE World of Warcraft, there aren't any imitations that even come close, well, maybe one. So I won't bore you with a 5 minute long video reviewing what we already know, instead I have made a 9 minute long video showing off my mad PvP/PvE skills in my recent DINGSTRAVAGANZA! (An event which saw my Shadow Priest finally tip the scales and join the big boys at level 70)

It is also a friendly plug/invitation letting you all know that I will be at the World Wide Invitational this weekend in Paris and if any of you guys are out there then I urge you to come seek me and my camera out and share the love!

Tis the season to be traveling! As the summer ramps up, more and more companies are planning different outings and fan events. Blizzard has announced that not only will they have their (now sold-out) Worldwide Invitational in Paris, but also will be hosting another Blizzcon this October. Sony Online Entertainment has announced the next in a long line of highly successful Fan Faires coming to Vegas this August. CCP is expected to host yet another "party at the top of the world" as their EVE Online fan fair returns this year. Funcom will have a great showing as part of the MMO track at Dragon*Con where they've been partying with fans for years. And who can forget all the gaming goodness that goes on at PAX, GenCon, and other related conventions happening all around the world!
